What is an Item Upgrader?
The item upgrader gives players the ability to upgrade their gear. Upgrades to items require the appropriate currencies and items. This includes Valorstones, crests and armor for weapons and armor.
There are also enchantments which increase the chance of success for an upgrade, and some upgrades such as Hot Potato Books give a boost to weapon stats or permit it to be used in dungeons. These upgrades are typically purchased from the cash store.
Leveling
An upgrader for items allows players to improve the level of equipment from a variety of sources. Depending on the item type and upgrade track, it will cost Valorstones or Crests to increase an item's levels. Weapons generally cost more than gloves or bracers for instance.
It is also possible to upgrade items by purchasing them through the game. Upgrade shards can be obtained by defeating bosses at any dungeon. These shards can be used to upgrade armor and weapons sets, allowing them to be upgraded to their highest level. However, they can only be upgraded once.
